Comprehensive training is the foundation of safe working. Our employees regularly retrain their theoretical and practical skills.

VR Transpoint's employees in various positions have received the appropriate basic training for their tasks. Regular repeat training maintains and develops professional skill in rail logistics.

Training in rail logistics

Railway logistics shunting yard workers undergo the training required for the position at the Kouvola Railway and Adult Training Institute KRAO. The Finnish Transport Safety Agency Traficom grants them a licence to drive a radio-controlled locomotive.

We ensure practical expertise with systematic mentoring. As a rule, we carry out the mentoring in the genuine work environment using genuine tools. The guidance is always given by a rail logistics supervisor who has received mentoring training.

Every year, we organise refresher and further training required by Traficom for those working in railway traffic safety tasks. In addition, our employees receive separate safety training for our customers’ and partners' locations.
