Shunting work orders

With the L360 service shunting work order, you can order the unloading or loading of your wagons at the time of your choice.

Shunting work orders are divided into delivery and pick-up orders:

  • delivery order – ordering delivery to the customer’s loading or unloading track

  • pick-up order – ordering the removal of wagons from the loading or unloading track.

For rail traffic, shunting work orders are made through the Logistics360 service. Use of the service requires being a contractual customer and customer-specific IDs.

Ordering shunting work – delivery and pick-up orders

Delivery order

Shunting work must be ordered well in advance. You can order shunting work while the train is still on its way to the destination station.

Orders can be placed by wagon number or just wagon type.

The requested delivery time must primarily comply with the agreed shunting work windows. Delivery orders can be sent in the L360 service at any time of day.

It is possible to place a standard order for the delivery of wagons to the unloading or loading track if your transport is regular traffic.

A delivery order specifies:

  • the required number and type of wagons
  • customer number and destination track
  • time of order
  • any additional information.

Pick-up order

A pick-up order is placed for a customer track (pick-up track) when the wagons have been either loaded or unloaded.

The pick-up order specifies:

  • information about whether the wagons have been unloaded or loaded
  • track information or wagon numbers
  • any additional information.
